Course Design and Development
RAM provides a broad base of skills to address our customers' training
needs. We routinely develop and present task-based training; however, we
also offer experience in defining total system training requirements,
including the institutional and field environments. RAM provides support
throughout the training development and implementation
process.
RAM is experienced in all aspects of training
design, from training task analysis through design of individual courses and
curricula. Our experience includes design of courses for operator and
maintenance tasks, weapon system doctrine and tactics, and information
systems operation and management. We are experienced in supporting
instructional approaches such as embedded training, distance learning, and
use of training devices and simulators to enhance the training process.
RAM develops the full range of training
materials, from classroom transparencies through operator and user's
manuals. Our experience in this area extends to the development of materials
to support collective/team training in the underlying doctrinal concepts.
Instructional Support
RAM provides formal classroom instruction for a diverse training audience.
RAM provides experienced and qualified platform instructors to support core
Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) training at U.S. Army schools, and we
have developed and presented formal classroom training to support the
information systems training requirements of many of our customers. We
routinely provide informal training in support of our information system
design and implementation tasks, and as a component of our support to test
and/or training exercises.
Training
Management
RAM developed the Digital Training Management System (DTMS) and is
fielding the system to all active Army and Army Reserve and National Guard units. DTMS
is a web-based commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) relational database,
customized to provide the ability to plan, resource, and manage unit and
individual training at all levels, and to provide units at all levels easy
access to the tools they need to plan, conduct, and assess training
according to Army doctrine. DTMS has a schools management tool to resource
and allocate seats for new equipment training; sustainment training;
collective system training; and troop school, safety, and other installation
specific courses. DTMS offers the capability to correlate/fuse and
deconflict training schedules/event requirements at the lowest level, and
provides on-line course registration considering necessary prerequisites and
conflicting student requirements. To download an
informative brochure describing DTMS, click here.
The system is highly applicable to commercial
training management needs and is being examined by several major
corporations for inclusion into their training programs.
