January 2008: A CACI International led team consisting of RAM, Inc., IAP, Genco, and Chenega Corp. has been awarded an estimated $60 million task order to support the U.S. Army Installation Command's Fort Bliss Directorate of Logistics. The five-year award (one base year, four option years) was made under CACI's Field and Installation Readiness Support Team (FIRST) contract vehicle with the Army. Under the terms of the award, the team will provide professional services and technical support for the Directorate's maintenance, supply, and transportation divisions. Team CACI support helps ensure that logistics activities are carried out effectively, on time, and within budget, especially as operations at Fort Bliss expand. RAM's major efforts will be concentrated in the area of material maintenance and will focus on repairing and upgrading military vehicles and power generation equipment to ensure readiness rates meet or exceed Army standards. Fort Bliss is a premier Army training facility and serves as one of the major deployment centers for troops and equipment headed for Iraq and Afghanistan. In conjunction with the Army's Base Realignment and Closure program, the number of troops based at Fort Bliss is expected to grow significantly over the next few years. RAM is dedicated to supporting Fort Bliss in its transition into one of the Army's premier testing and maneuver training facilities. RAM has a continuing requirement for qualified vehicle and power generation equipment mechanics and associated quality and production control personnel.
